I live in Boston, so all TV and radio stations are all Teddy all the time. The procession is going on and it is sad to see. It is hard not to be sad, I moved here over 30 years ago and he has always been my senator. In spite of all the non-stop talking heads discussing Him, I still think the magnitude of his effect on all of us is still not understood by most. Teddy touched so many things that affect us all (really too many to mention, so I'll let each one of you fill in how you see hiss effect if you wish.
Sharp contrast to moment of hilarity with Mark Sanford. Politicians like Sanford (GOPosaurs and even many Dems) think their shit don't stink and they are above the law. They also think their accomplishments (perhaps 2-3 over a 10-year political career) make them equal to Teddy. As I said, Teddy was not perfect and made many mistakes in his life, but for more than 46 years He never stopped working for us.
